Come For The Baby Owl, Stay For The Baby Owl

One never gets bored at my place of work. What's the latest? A baby owl! This little guy or gal was outside our building yesterday, minutes away from becoming breakfast for much bigger birds of prey. A coworker and I took it, gave it a cardboard penthouse, whatever food we could find (we realize it prefers raw meat way more than it does tortilla chips, but our resources were limited!) and voilá, it became instantly loved by everyone at the tribunals. It doesn't hurt that owls are -at least here in Mexico, dunno about elsewhere- considered THE symbol animal for Justice and Law. We named it Justiniano, and everyone at work was crazy about it, while Justiniano itself just stared at us like we were massive monsters. (It -was- surrounded by lawyers!). Justiniano's eaten ham and shredded meat since, it's looking much better now, and we're finding it a good home
